This is a privacy policy for a portfolio website and newsletter operated by Syntax Labs LLC. It should not take you 20 minutes to read. Here is exactly what we collect, why we collect it, and what we do with it.
What We Collect
If you join the newsletter, you give us your email address. That's the only personal information we collect. I use it to send you the newsletter and related updates. That's it.
We do not collect your name, your location, your phone number, or anything else. If you did not give it to us directly, we don't have it.
What We Do With Your Email
We use it to send you emails you asked for.
We will never sell your email address. We will never trade it. We will never hand it to a marketer. We will never use it to spam you with things you didn't sign up for. The list exists for one reason: to deliver what we promised.
Your email is stored and managed by a third-party email service provider. They have access to your email address to facilitate sending. That's the extent of it. They do not use it for their own marketing.
Analytics: What We Track (And What We Don't)
This site uses Simple Analytics — a privacy-first analytics tool that does not use cookies and does not track individual users across the web.
What we can see: aggregate data like total page views and referral sources. This tells us which content is working. It does not tell us anything about you specifically, because we are not watching you specifically.
No cookies are placed on your device. No personal data is collected at the analytics level.
Your Rights
You are in control.
- Unsubscribe anytime. Every email has an unsubscribe link at the bottom. One click and you're off the list.
- Request full deletion. If you want us to delete your email address entirely, email us (address below). We will remove it and confirm.
If you are in the EU, this covers your rights under GDPR. If you are in California, this covers your rights under CCPA. If you are anywhere else, the same rules apply — we just think it's the right way to operate.
Changes to This Policy
If something material changes, we will update this page. The date at the top of this document reflects the last revision. We are not in the habit of making quiet, sneaky edits.
